Beautiful story. Was the labyrinth at Lands' End there? I wrote a book about it (that will probably never see the light of day). People keep destroying it (the labyrinth, not my book), and then other people re-build it and try to take care of it.
When I was a student teacher at Washington High School in the Outer Richmond in 1984, all the student teachers and number of the students went to Simple Pleasures for coffee. How cozy it was on rainy afternoons! I'm so happy it's still there.
The Sutro Baths are my happy place 💕✨
Oh, yes, they are wonderful!

Thank you. You know, I don't know of a labyrinth at Land's End. Is this in the spot where you walk down toward the shore?
Yes! https://www.nps.gov/places/000/lands-end-point-and-the-labyrinth.htm
But it might have been replaced by this: https://www.sfgate.com/places/article/SF-lands-end-labyrinth-replaced-16794120.php

Oh, yes, and still the neighborhood hangout!
